Clear Lake Martial Arts Guest Policy

All guest participants are encouraged to notify Clear Lake Martial Arts by email or phone 

General Requirements:

Students privileges vary by Program type. Please visit the front desk if you have questions regarding student privileges.
Guests 17 years of age or under must be accompanied by a current student who is 18 years of age or older. Students 17 years or younger must also have a completed waiver signed by Parent/Guardian before engaging in any programs at Clear Lake Martial Arts.

A student may not check another person's child(ren) into class without authorized permission by the parent & Clear Lake Martial Arts. We strongly advise the parent/legal guardian to remain on site to monitor their child's progress.

A single guest privilege or pass may be used by an individual, couple or immediate family at the same residence.
A student may extend a guest privilege to the same individual no more than once every 60 days. More than one visit each 60 days by the same individual requires a guest fee.

Clear Lake Martial Arts Front Desk Staff will track available privileges electronically.
Unused guest privileges may not be accrued or otherwise carried forward to subsequent months or years.
Guest passes may be limited to non-peak usage at Clear Lake Martial Arts discretion.​

A guest may visit once every six months (language to delete: “per year”) without a member, using a pass (e.g. VIP pass or Web pass) and enjoy all programs offered at Clear Lake Martial Arts at no cost.

A guest may visit and participate in all or any program with no fee if they have a special invitation from the Chief Instructor or Program Director such as an appointment, email or letter etc.

Special activities may include event fees when a guest is accompanied by a member or offered complimentary with an invitation from The Chief Instructor or Program Director.

​​A liability waiver must be signed upon each guest visit.
In the case of a Clear Lake Martial Arts hosted activity (camp, birthday party, tennis, etc.) in which a dedicated Clear Lake martial Arts team member maintains supervision of the activity, the guest's parent/legal guardian must complete and sign a Participation Waiver form prior to the event. The parent/legal guardian need not remain onsite in this instance.

Guest passes may be limited to non-peak usage at Clear Lake Martial Arts discretion. Please speak with a Clear Lake Martial Arts Team member regarding additional summer restrictions.

Clear Lake Martial Arts Guest Fees:

Guest fee for Flex members and/or when accompanied by a current member: $20 Per Visit (All guest passes are free).
Guest fee when not accompanied by a current member: $40 Per Visit (All guest passes are free).


Etiquette Customs & Courtesies
1. Please remove your shoes and place them in the rack before entering the training area.
2. Please (Bow) upon entering and leaving the training area this shows respect.
3. Please address everyone as Mr., Mrs., Miss, Sir, Mam.
4. Please address all Black Belts and above by there appropriate titles.
5. Clear Lake Martial arts is a smoke free environment. Do not smoke inside the dojo outside the dojo, or in the vicinity of the dojo.
6. Please remove all jewelry during training.
7. Please do not use profanities in the dojo.
8. For the safety of all, please do not attend class if you have consumed any alcoholic beverages prior to class.
9. Please do not leave personal belongings in the training area or reception area or any area that is not a designated storing area.
10. Please make sure your attire is clean.
11. Please do not enter the training area from the dressing room or reception area unless you are completely dressed.
12. Please check with the instructor if:
      A) you are under a physicians care.
      B) you wish to leave the training area during class.
      C) you are injured in any way.
13. Please refrain from loud and unnecessary talking during class.
14. Please do not touch or lean on the Dojo walls.
